Hi! this is the real me, but I wasn’t always true to myself. I had been writing for a million years – A million novels, tucked away, hidden secretly in my mind while pretending to be someone else.
Looking back, I can see it all clearly now, just as clearly as I see myself writing these words before me. The strong winds of change made themselves present from the very beginning. From the terrible dream, I had about my father. From the first phone call I received, when I learned of the tragic news of his illness. To the plane ride that couldn’t get there fast enough. Something began to happen inside of me.
When I finally arrived, the deep pain that now lived in the pit of my stomach grew even more painful as I sat there watching all the commotion of doctors and nurses running in and out of his hospital room. And dad laying there so thin, so small. Even after wiping away tears that clouded my view, I could barely recognize him. “Dad,” I said softly. But he could not hear me.
I was losing him, and I was not ready.
Time stood still during that period in my life like it had never done before. Nothing else in the world mattered. All the mighty importance that I had placed upon the job that I clung to so strongly just faded away into the distance.
I ran away as fast as I could – to him – To save him.
But as I was saving him, I found that my father was saving me instead. I was the one dying, inside.
It was my father who inspired me to finally listen to that voice of reason – the universe – Some call it our higher self, higher spirit or our God inside, to a path I’d only dreamed of all my life.
Previously working in the field of aging, my heart had always been in writing, and for the concern of our youth. The universe was calling me away towards focusing my energies on much bigger issues at hand, concerning the future of humanity.
Today, I’m here where the universe wanted me to be, with my father sitting right beside me sharing his life story. He survived that devastating illness. I think the universe was just trying to get my attention. Well, it did! Dad told me he wanted someone to write his story and knew someone in town that did that sort of thing. He had no idea that I loved to write, as it was something I always kept to myself.
My first novel is about the life of my father, and the path that he chose to follow as a young man, strong and sure of himself, only to be awakened through enlightenment in a tantalizing tale of a beautiful love story about he and my mother, whom he met on the Philippine Island of Luzon right after the Korean War. During the course of a four-year research period, this wonderful story mysteriously evolved on its own into a very rich message that has everything to do with our youth of today.
My first book is about my father, but inside I’ll share my brief story about the dream I had of his illness, and about other dreams I experienced which all came true. Finding my series of confounding events hard to believe, I no longer found them bewildering after learning all I had never known about my father. Coincidences both in my life and his were just too many to be purely, coincidence.
There are no coincidences in life. Everything & Everyone is connected.Click To Tweet
I hope you will join me, in reading my first novel once it is published. I have other novels I am writing, some about the past, some set in the future, but all with a focus on enriching the lives of our children today and the children of tomorrow.
Loving light & healing energy to our children!
